These are exciting days at David Chapel! We are absolutely persuaded that God wants us to be a transforming church, one that is a thriving congregation where truly changing lives is the “David Chapel way,” as we strive to be a church with a heart for the community.
God is blessing our church. Because of this fact, we must expand our vision for our church. The Bible says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). God has given us a vision. It has been well-planned, strategically developed and prayed through. Now it is time to make that vision a reality.
All of us at David Chapel have an opportunity to play a significant role in such a challenge through the United We Build capital fund-raising program. This is a program in which each person chooses voluntarily to participate through giving.
To continue the growth and direction of our church, we plan to construct new facilities to accommodate our current and future ministries and ministry efforts. As we find ourselves ministering through the limitations of our current 52-year old structure, this united undertaking is not simply about facilities. Indeed, it is about a ministry vision and having facilities that are current, attractive and relevant to ministering to this generation and beyond. This is your opportunity to invest in today and tomorrow.
We cannot do this without your help. We need you to accept the challenge to give sacrificially to our building fund. The key idea is, “Not Equal Giving, but Equal Sacrifice.” Your gifts will be an investment in the future of our church. United We Build is another opportunity for you to show your personal spiritual growth.
We challenge you to prayerfully consider what God would have you give to this vital effort. As a follower of Jesus who seeks God’s glory, will you not truly pray about this? Read this brochure and catch the vision.
May God richly bless us as United We Build.
In Christ,
Pastor Joseph and Sis. LaVerne Parker
