Executive Assistant to the Pastor
Sis. Pamela Marvels

Pamela Marvels, a native of Houston, Texas, has served as Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor since July 2007. She started working at David Chapel in March 1997 and served as the Administrative Assistant from July 1997 to July 2007, after moving to Austin in December 1996, having worked as a secretary at Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Houston.
Pamela graduated from Ross Shaw Sterling High School in Houston in 1980. She attended Prairie View A& M University in Prairie View, Texas, majoring in Biology and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, majoring in Biology.
As a David Chapel member, she serves on various church committees, Assistant Director – Children’s Ministry and as a teacher for Tuesday Morning Bible Study.
Her passions include serving, traveling, reading and utilizing her creativity.
Pamela has three children, Kristen, Kristopher and Joshua, and she is the proud grandmother of on grandson, Tristen.

Sis. Diana Michael-Sonko
Diana L. Michael-Sonko, a native of Beaumont, Texas, has served as Administrative Assistant since July 2007, having worked elsewhere in similar positions for several previous years. In 1990, she received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Aided Design/Drafting from the Lamar University Institute of Technology. In July 1999, she received an Administrative Assistant/Specialist Certificate from the Austin Business College.
As a David Chapel member since 1996, having committed her life to Christ at 12 years old, she currently serves as an usher and on the Culinary Committee.
Custodian & Grounds Keeper
Ruben Haros Sr.
Ruben Haros Sr. has served as Custodian & Grounds Keeper at David Chapel since 2001. Ruben is a native of Edinburg, Texas. Ruben has been married to his lovely wife Mary Jane since 1967. Ruben loves doing mechanic work, and he also enjoys being outdoors, spending time with his family, and helping and serving people.
